In HE NEVER DIED, Henry Rollins plays a lot of Bingo.

I imagine the old man was rarely happy in life.

Hmmm... me thinks you're ... perhaps... onto something, Mark.

I really enjoyed the story, Jenise! Thanks for sharing. And man...that line about the chewing tobacco gave me quite the visual! 😄

Cool story! The old man was very well defined. How about part two, where Grandma learns a secret about him that , if told, could bring him down for good. I always like a little permanent revenge. Hah!

High praise from you, Sharron, as you're a very talented writer and storyteller, thank you so much!

I do have a novella mapped out, an outline. I won't reveal what's in it, but ... you're very close in guessing the "revenge" aspect, ha ha.

Are you okay Jenise? Taking a sabbatical? I have missed your contributions these two months. I hope you are well.

Thank you for asking, Sharron! I’m well. Was processing the loss of a relative, and have been cocooning, enjoying my garden, spending more time offline in nature and with friends, and writing regularly over at Night Owl Christian. That’s where my writing is focused currently.

Not sure when I’ll be back to poetry and short fiction. My muse is a bit muddled right now.

It means the world to me that you noticed my absence and left a comment. I appreciate you.
