I loved the image and the premise of the story, but glad you provided the explanation. For a minute I thought the world had ended or something....just his world. Sad facts that I hate are true.
I feel helpless regarding these stats. I don't know what I can do; raise awareness, I guess.
There's a Veterans Hospital in our town up here in N AZ, and several organizations who provide services to vets, and they send out reminders. They do so much to help those who come to them; not all do.
I'm grateful "Randy" in this story chose to receive help and live.
That’s awesome! Hey, I’m in southern AZ right now! We are at Picacho Peak RV Resort. It’s so pretty (to me) here that I’ve been inspired to pen another poem, but I’ve heard this is nothing compared to Sedona. I May not get there this trip though. Maybe next year.

I just attended a workshop at a nonprofit farm this weekend that helps veterans with PTSD. I'm so glad that it's getting the recognition it needs:)
