What’s Going On?

I’ve unsubscribed you from my newest publication “Night Owl Christian”, or NOC, and have deleted the former Newsletter site, setting it up anew using the same domain name.

What Happened?

It’s simple:

I didn’t understand the mechanics of how Substack works.

Originally NOC was set up under my current Newsletter, Jenise Cook’s Creative Journey, even though NOC had its own domain name. 

For me, that made following Notifications (Likes and Comments) confusing as they were mixed together with reader feedback on my short stories and poems. Plus, that parent/child setup limits both of my Newsletters in how they may grow and change over the months and years.

Email Address

I’ve also created a new email address for NOC. Why and what’s new? 

• Substack requires an email address for a stand-alone Newsletter (rightly so)

• Creating a new email address via my web hosting service (under my jenisecook.com domain) would cost me additional fees

• I chose a free email provider

• I’m using Night Owl Christian in the Sender address so you’ll know it’s my Newsletter (not coming from jenisecook.com)

Okay, TMI. 😂 Sounds tech-y, but that’s how Substack works.

My apologies if this sounds confusing, and I thank you in advance for coming along on this journey with NOC by subscribing, if you choose to do so.

NOTE: If you don’t wish to subscribe, no harm no foul. Just save the NOC domain/URL and check in off and on. You may find something you’ll enjoy reading.

Whether you subscribe or just check in to read off and on, please Like and Comment on the currently published posts as your previous feedback was erased when I deleted the former site.

I’m looking forward to this new journey with NOC, and I hope you will, too. During November, I’ll explore gratitude. In December, I may go “full-on Advent Calendar” or whatever comes to mind for the Nativity.
